Our kindergarten friends experienced a very busy week. We enjoyed our learning in the classroom, but also had other learning experiences.
This week we had a visit from Barney the Bus. Barney and his friend, Ms. Sue came to teach us about bus safety. The children even received a coloring book, set of crayons and a bus safety sticker to help them remember all of the bus safety rules.
For Veteran's Day, our school had a wonderful assembly to honor those who have served in our military. The students had an opportunity to sing a few songs. They did a wonderful job. Our class made poppies in remembrance.
In music class, the students work on learning patriotic songs. On Friday, we had the opportunity to sing one of the selections on the announcements.
In science, we spent a great deal of time learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin. We explored the outside and inside of the pumpkin.

We did an investigation of our pumpkins to determine height, circumference, weight and if it would sink or float.
We planted some seeds in order to watch the process of sprouting and growing roots.
After reading the story Pumpkin Jack, we decided to watch our pumpkin decompose.
