Week 33 in Kindergarten

We have started working on Reader's Theater. The kids work with partners to practice reading their plays. Each student's lines are highlighted to help keep them on track. They are working on sounding our unknown words, taking turns, comprehension and fluency. Some kids are even using fun voices as they read. Soon we will videotape them reading the play of their choice. So fun!

Week 32

Our space unit has been so much fun. We enjoyed learning about the moon and have learned many facts. Some of us even want to try going to the moon someday. Make sure to stay tuned for our astronaut pictures.

Our favorite thing this week was tasting space ice cream. Yummy! It was a huge hit.

We love our 5th grade buddies. They have helped us practice our reading, spelling and math skills. This week they will begin taking state assessments. We made some cards to wish them good luck. We know they will do amazing!
